Message from the President

1                 The Virtue of Resilience

Filipinos are known for being resilient. No matter how many storms or earthquakes pass along and disturb our islands, we always find a way to move forward. I try to carry this hopeful and faithful attitude of my nation with me. When a small or big disaster strikes me on a personal level, I apply the virtue of resilience. I tell myself to “have grace under pressure” and that “all the scales balance.” I focus on my strengths and how I can effectively approach and deal with the problem. The fruit and reward of resilience comes in time. And what I learned is that it almost always comes, most certainly when you have learned something valuable about yourself.
